The Church are followers of Christ, also known as the body of Christ, the Bride of Christ or children of God.
Reading: Ephesians 5:1-2 NLT
Devotional: Today, we reflect on what it truly means to be the church. As followers of Christ, we are called to imitate God and live a life filled with love. The Church isn't just a building or an organization like we may think that it is because of what we have been taught. No, in fact the Church is a living breathing body of believers who embody Christ's love. Are you a part of that body?
How are you imitating God in your daily life?
In what ways might our personal behaviors and attitudes as 'followers of Christ' impact how others perceive the church as a whole?
Prayer: Father, as I reflect on the true identity of the Church, I look today at my own reflection to see if I am truly following Your Son. Continue to teach me Your ways and make it clear to me who I am in You. In Jesus name, Amen.
