Day 2 Morning: Humble Service in the Body of Christ

Reading: Romans 12:3-8

Devotional: Faith is the foundation of our relationship with God and how we interact with others. The Apostle Paul reminds us to view ourselves with sober (NKJV) judgment, recognizing that our gifts come from God. Consider the unique abilities God has given you. How are you using them to serve others and glorify God? Pray for guidance in discovering or developing your spiritual gifts, and look for an opportunity today to use your talents in service to someone else.

Prayer: Father, thank You for the unique gifts and talents You have given me. Help me to see myself with sober judgment and to use my abilities to serve others and glorify Your name. Guide me in discovering and developing my spiritual gifts. Open my eyes to the opportunities around me today where I can use my talents in service to others. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

Daily Challenge: Take a moment to identify at least one of your spiritual gifts or talents. Use that gift today to serve someone in your community, church, school or work.

Bonus: Dive deeper and search out the word "sober" or "soberly" and define it from a biblical viewpoint.

I learned don't have to not drink alcohol to be sober. It also means serious minded , I have in mind being Christ driven and on guard the opposite of being drunk or too relaxed . I can see how important it is. The enemy will try to sneak in whatever door you leave open and I need to be more watchful of what I do to avoid unnecessary troubles & situations.
