Day 2 – Belief vs. Obedience

Reading

James 2:18–20 (NLT)

Scriptural Thought

Belief alone does not transform lives—obedience does. Even demons believe the truth about God, but they do not submit to Him. Faith that follows Jesus always involves surrender.

Reflection

Knowledge about God is important, but knowledge without obedience can lead to spiritual stagnation. The goal of faith isn’t just knowing what’s right—it’s choosing to live it out. Following Jesus means allowing truth to shape decisions, habits, and attitudes.

3-Step Application

  1. Identify one truth you know but haven’t fully lived out.

  2. Ask God what obedience looks like in that area.

  3. Take one intentional step that aligns your actions with your belief.

Closing Prayer

Lord, I don’t want to just know about You—I want to follow You. Help me surrender areas where obedience has been delayed. Lead me into a faith that truly follows. Amen.
