Reading
Matthew 24:4 (NLT)
“Jesus told them, ‘Don’t let anyone mislead you.’”
Scriptural Thought
Not every voice speaking confidently is speaking truthfully. Discernment is essential in uncertain times.
Reflection
Jesus begins His teaching on the end times with a warning—not about disasters, but about deception. That’s intentional. False voices don’t always sound extreme. Sometimes they sound spiritual, persuasive, and convincing. But truth isn’t measured by volume or popularity—it’s measured by alignment with Christ.
We must ask when listening to teachings:
Does this teaching draw me closer to Jesus or elevate something else?
Does it produce humility and obedience—or fear and pride?
Guarding your heart means being selective about what shapes your thinking.
3-Step Application
Evaluate the voices you listen to most (media, social feeds, teachers).
Compare what you hear with Scripture—not opinions.
Commit to spending daily time in God’s Word to stay grounded.
Closing Prayer
God, sharpen my discernment. Protect my heart from being misled and help me recognize truth when I hear it. Keep me anchored in Your Word above every other voice. Amen.
