Reading
Jonah 3:4 (NLT) “On the day Jonah entered the city, he shouted to the crowds: ‘Forty days from now Nineveh will be destroyed!’”
Scriptural Thought
Jonah’s sermon was extremely short. In the original Hebrew, it is only five words. Yet God used those simple words to impact an entire city.
This reminds us of something powerful: God does not need perfect words—He needs willing hearts.
Sometimes we hesitate because we think we are not qualified enough, knowledgeable enough, or eloquent enough. But the power is never in our words. The power is in God working through them.
Reflection
Have you ever stayed silent because you felt unqualified to speak about your faith?
God often uses the simplest acts of obedience to produce the greatest results.
3-Step Application
Stop overthinking obedience. God is not asking for perfection. You have to work towards that.
Share what God has done in your life. Your story matters.
Trust God with the results. Your role is obedience—His role is transformation.
Closing Prayer
Father God, help me trust that You can use my voice, even when I feel inadequate. Give me courage to speak truth and trust You with the outcome. In Jesus' name, Amen.
