Reading
Jonah 3:1–2 (NLT)“Then the LORD spoke to Jonah a second time: ‘Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh, and deliver the message I have given you.’”
Scriptural Thought
God didn’t give up on Jonah after his rebellion. Instead, God spoke to him a second time. The same calling was still there. The same mission remained. The same grace was still available.
God is not surprised by our failures. He already knows our weaknesses, yet He still calls us to participate in His work. The story of Jonah reminds us that our mistakes do not cancel God’s mission—His grace restores us to it.
Reflection
Have you ever felt like you missed your opportunity with God?
Jonah’s story reminds us that God specializes in second chances. His calling is persistent because His love is persistent.
3-Step Application
Receive God’s grace. Stop carrying guilt from past failures.
Listen again. Ask God what He may be calling you to do today.
Take the next step. Obedience begins with one step forward.
Closing Prayer
Lord, thank You for being the God of second chances. When I fall short, remind me that Your grace still calls me forward. Help me listen for Your voice and obey Your direction. Amen.
