DAY 2 – The Belly Is a Classroom

Reading:
Jonah 2:1–6 (NLT)
Scriptural Thought:
“From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the LORD his God.” — Jonah 2:1 (NLT)
Jonah didn’t pray on the boat. He prayed in the belly.
Sometimes we don’t listen until everything else gets quiet.
Reflection:
God could have rescued Jonah instantly. But instead, He gave him three days.
Three days to think. Three days to remember. Three days to pray.
God is powerful — but He is also patient.
What if the delay isn’t rejection? What if it’s refinement?
Where in your life has God slowed you down so you would finally listen?
3-Step Application:
Create quiet space today. Turn off noise for 10 minutes and sit with God.
Pray honestly. Not polished. Not religious. Just real.
Ask one obedience question: “Lord, what are You asking me to do next?”
Closing Prayer:
Lord, thank You for loving me enough to slow me down. Teach me to listen before I hit crisis. Help me hear Your voice clearly and respond with obedience. Amen.

Being obedient is God is what we must do to be in His will.
