Day 2: The Drift of Idolatry

Reading: Jonah 1:1-2 (NLT), Nahum 1:2 (NLT)
Scriptural Thought: Nineveh repented after Jonah preached, but later drifted back into idolatry and wickedness. Idolatry often happens slowly, subtly, and silently.
Reflection: Are there "good" things that have slowly taken God's place? A relationship, a goal, a habit? Idols aren’t always obvious. Sometimes it's what you give the most time, attention, or affection to.
3-Step Application:
List 3 things you consistently prioritize over God.
Reflect: Is this drawing me closer to God or away?
Choose one thing to fast from for 24 hours and spend that time with God.
Closing Prayer: Lord, I don’t want anything to have my heart more than You. Open my eyes to the idols I’ve allowed in and help me return to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
