Reading: Nahum 1:2-3 (NLT), Exodus 34:14 (NLT)
Scriptural Thought: God’s jealousy isn’t rooted in insecurity, but in His deep love for us. He doesn’t want to share our hearts with anything that will destroy us. His jealousy is protective, not petty.
Reflection: Think about a time when you were jealous over someone you loved. Was it because you didn’t want to lose them to something harmful? That’s how God feels about you. He longs for an exclusive relationship with you—not because He needs it, but because He knows you do.
3-Step Application:
Ask: "What competes for my attention more than God?"
Write down one way you can give God first place today.
Spend 10 minutes in prayer, surrendering that area to Him.
Closing Prayer: God, thank You for fiercely loving me. Help me recognize anything in my life that tries to replace You. I surrender it now. Be first in my heart. Amen.
