DAY 4 — Obedience Is Faith in Motion

Reading

James 4:17 (NLT)

Scriptural Thought

Sometimes the greatest act of faith isn’t avoiding what’s wrong—it’s choosing to do what’s right.

Reflection

James ends this section with a strong reminder: knowing the right thing to do and choosing not to do it is still disobedience. Faith that moves responds when God prompts, even when it’s uncomfortable.

Delayed obedience can quietly harden our hearts. Faith responds promptly.

3-Step Application

  1. Ask God to reveal one step of obedience you’ve been delaying.

  2. Take action today, even if it feels small.

  3. Trust God with the outcome.

Closing Prayer

Father, give me the courage to obey You fully. Help me respond when You speak and trust You with the results. I want my faith to move, not stall. In Your Son Jesus’ name, Amen.
