Week 2: Day 2 — Your Condemnation Lost Its Case

Reading: Romans 8:1–2; Romans 8:33–34 (NLT)

Scriptural Thought:

Because Jesus rose from the grave, the case against the believer has been closed. His resurrection proves that sin, guilt, and condemnation did not win.

Reflection:

Many believers still live as though their spiritual case is pending. They love Jesus, but deep down they still feel like guilt has the loudest voice. They replay their failures. They drag around shame. They live under accusation. But the resurrection says something different. Jesus did not stay in the grave. He got up in victory, and that means condemnation no longer has authority over those who belong to Him. Conviction may call you closer to God, but condemnation cannot claim you anymore. Because He got up, your past is not your master and your shame is not your identity.

3-Step Application:

  1. Say this aloud today: “In Christ, I am no longer condemned.”

  2. Ask God to show you where you have been living under accusation instead of grace.

  3. Replace one condemning thought with one biblical truth from Romans 8.

Closing Prayer:

Lord, thank You that because Jesus got up, my condemnation lost its case. Help me stop living under guilt and shame that You have already broken through Christ. Teach me to walk in freedom, repentance, and confidence in Your grace. In Jesus’ name, amen.
