Week 3 Day 1: The Audience of One

Scripture Read: Matthew 6:1
Reflection:
Jesus makes it clear—everything we do spiritually is about who we’re doing it for. It’s easy to let people become our audience. We want to be seen, affirmed, noticed. But God isn’t impressed with performance—He’s after devotion.
There are things in your life right now that nobody sees. The quiet prayers. The private obedience. The unseen sacrifices. And that’s exactly where God does His best work.
The real question is: If nobody ever saw it, would you still do it?
Because when God is your audience, your motives change. Your heart changes. And your relationship with Him deepens.
3-Step Application:
Identify one area where you may be seeking recognition.
Do one intentional act of obedience today in secret.
Remind yourself: “God sees what others don’t.”
Prayer:
God, help me to live for You and not for people. Purify my motives and teach me to value what You see over what others see. Amen.
