Scripture Read: Matthew 6:16–18
Reflection:
Fasting is one of the most overlooked spiritual disciplines—but it’s powerful.
When you fast, you’re not just giving something up—you’re making room for God. You’re telling your flesh, “You’re not in control—God is.”
It’s about hunger—but not physical hunger alone. It’s about creating a deeper hunger for God.
We live in a world full of distractions, comfort, and constant consumption. Fasting disrupts that. It refocuses your heart. It realigns your priorities.
And here’s the truth: What you’re hungry for will shape who you become.
3-Step Application:
Choose something to fast from (food, social media, etc.).
Replace that time with prayer or Scripture.
Ask God to increase your hunger for Him.
Prayer:
God, give me a deeper hunger for You. Help me desire You more than anything else in this world. Amen.
