Scriptural Thought
Life moves in seasons. Some we enjoy. Some we endure. But none of them remove our responsibility to remain faithful. Jesus makes it clear that chaos, confusion, and noise are not signs that God has lost control — they are reminders that His followers must stay focused.
The season may change, but our calling does not.
Reflection
It’s easy to assume that faithfulness will come naturally when things settle down. But Scripture teaches the opposite — faithfulness is often forged in the disruption, not after it.
Jesus never told His disciples to escape the noise. He told them not to be misled by it. That means spiritual drift doesn’t usually happen because we reject Jesus outright — it happens because our attention slowly shifts.
What has your attention right now? Headlines? Stress? Opinions? Uncertainty?
Change is inevitable, but where your focus lands is a daily decision.
3-Step Application
Name the season you’re in — without judgment or comparison.
Identify one distraction that has been pulling your attention away from Jesus.
Choose one intentional habit today (Scripture, prayer, silence) to refocus your heart.
Closing Prayer
Lord, You are not shaken by change, but I often am. Help me recognize the season I’m in without losing sight of You. Guard my heart from distraction and teach me to stay focused on what truly matters. In Jesus' name, Amen.
