DAY 3 — IF IT KEEPS REPEATING, PAY ATTENTION
Read
Ephesians 5:15–17
Think About It
Different job.
Same frustration.
Different relationship.
Same conflict.
Different year.
Same financial pressure.
Different people.
Same reaction.
At some point, we have to ask:
What is the common denominator?
Sometimes the answer is uncomfortable: Me.
Patterns can reveal things we've refused to confront.
Maybe it's the same emotional reaction.
The same lack of boundaries.
The same spending habits.
The same need for approval.
The same offense.
The same habit of rescuing people.
The same warning we keep ignoring.
"We keep praying for God to give us something new while carrying old patterns everywhere we go."
But changing environments doesn't automatically change people.
Before asking God for a new season, ask Him to reveal anything you shouldn't carry into it.
Ask Yourself
What keeps repeating in my life, and what might God be trying to show me through that pattern?
Take Action
Write down one recurring pattern you've noticed.
Then finish this sentence:
“My responsibility in this pattern is _______________________________.”
Don't write what somebody else needs to change.
Just you.
Pray
Father, show me the patterns I've been overlooking. Help me see myself clearly. Give me the courage to confront what needs to change instead of carrying it into another season. I want to move forward differently, not simply move somewhere different. In Jesus' name, amen.
Carry This With You Today
"What you refuse to confront, you often carry into the next season."
