Week 1 Day 3 — Ask Freely

Read Scripture: James 1:5

Scripture Thought:

James reminds us that if we lack wisdom, we should ask God, and He will give it generously. God is not bothered by our need. He welcomes us to come to Him. When life feels uncertain, God offers wisdom for the road ahead.

Reflection:

Many times, we face hard situations and try to figure everything out on our own. But God never asked us to live without His guidance. He invites us to ask. Wisdom is not just knowing more; it is knowing how to respond in a way that honors God. In every struggle, we need His direction more than our own ideas.

3-Step Application:

1. Admit you need God’s help. Stop pretending you can handle everything on your own.

2. Ask specifically for wisdom. Bring your decision, struggle, or confusion before the Lord.

3. Listen and obey. Be willing to follow the direction God gives through His Word and Spirit.

Prayer:

God, I need Your wisdom. I do not want to lean on my own understanding. Guide my thoughts, direct my steps, and help me respond in a way that brings You glory. Amen.
