Reading: Romans 8:38–39; 1 Corinthians 15:54–57 (NLT)
Scriptural Thought:
The resurrection of Jesus changes the meaning of death for the believer. Death is real, but it is no longer final.
Reflection: Death is one of the greatest fears people carry. It feels final. It feels separating. It feels like the end. But the resurrection of Jesus declares that death does not get the final word anymore. Jesus stepped into the grave and walked out alive. He took what looked final and proved it was not ultimate. That means if you are in Christ, even death cannot separate you from the love of God. The resurrection gives believers more than comfort — it gives them security.
We grieve, but not without hope. We suffer, but not without promise. We face the future knowing that because Jesus lives, we will live too.
3-Step Application:
Thank Jesus today for defeating death and the grave.
Pray for anyone you know who is grieving or afraid, and ask God to fill them with resurrection hope.
Remind yourself that your future in Christ is secure, even when life feels uncertain.
Closing Prayer:
Father, thank You that death does not get the last word. Thank You that because Jesus rose, I have hope that goes beyond this life. Strengthen my heart with resurrection confidence and help me live with eternal perspective. In Jesus’ name, amen.
