DAY 5 — WHAT NEEDS MY ATTENTION?
Read
Ephesians 5:15–17
Think About It
Paul says:
“Be careful how you live.”
In other words: Pay attention.
You can be physically present somewhere and still not be attentive.
And sometimes we do the same thing with God.
We're present in the season, but we're so distracted by what we want next that we completely miss what He's doing now.
We're asking:
“When will the door open?”
Maybe God is saying:
“Pay attention to what I'm developing while it's closed.”
“When will I have more?”
“Pay attention to how you're managing what you already have.”
“When will my opportunity come?”
“Pay attention to how you're preparing right now.”
So instead of ending this week asking only WHEN, let's ask WHAT.
Four Questions for This Season
1. God, what are You trying to show me?
About You?About me?About my priorities?About my habits?
2. What keeps repeating?
Is there a pattern I've ignored?
3. What needs my attention right now?
My relationship with God? My marriage? My family? My finances? My body? My boundaries? My attitude? My integrity? My rest? My calling?
4. What needs to change before I move forward?
Maybe I need more discipline.
Maybe I need to forgive.
Maybe I need to apologize.
Maybe I need to establish a boundary.
Maybe I need to stop blaming.
Maybe I simply need to do what God has already told me to do.
Personal Reflection
Finish these two statements honestly:
“In this season, God may be trying to get my attention about ______________________________.”
“Before I move forward, I know I need to ______________________________.”
Now ask yourself:
What am I going to do about it?
Because recognizing what God is showing you isn't enough.
You have to respond.
Pray
Father, help me pay attention. Show me what I've overlooked, the patterns I've ignored, and the areas I've neglected. Give me wisdom to recognize what You're doing and courage to respond to what You're showing me. I don't want to waste the waiting, the correction, the struggle, the opportunity, or even my mistakes. If I'm going to walk through this season, teach me something while I'm here. Develop me, correct me, strengthen me, and prepare me for whatever comes next. In Jesus' name, amen.
Carry This With You Today
"Don't waste this season. Pay attention."
